The 3rd preseason game is such a difficult one for coaches & fans.

You want to get your starters ready for the Regular season, but then again you don't want to risk injury either.

Many teams will play their starters 3 quarters in this third game.

As a Tampa Bay fan, in the past we've seen key guys go down with injuries in the preseason.

It's bound to happen somewhere fellas.

Keep your fingers crossed it doesn't happen on your favorite team...

Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware was carted off the field in the first quarter of Friday night's 26-13 preseason loss to the Seattle Seahawks with what the team later called a right knee injury

The team's top rusher a year ago was tackled after catching a short pass. He was holding his right knee before being taken from the field.

The 229-pound Ware, the Chiefs' biggest and most physical runner, led the team with 921 rushing yards last season. He added another 447 yards receiving.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys fear starting middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens suffered a torn ACL in his right knee, sources said.

Hitchens suffered the injury with 19 seconds left in the first half of Saturday night's preseason game against the Oakland Raiders. He will undergo additional testing, but if the diagnosis confirms the Cowboys' fears, then he would likely miss the season and need surgery.
